A dental crown is a custom-made cap designed to cover a damaged or decayed tooth, restoring its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns serve multiple purposes, such as protecting weak teeth, holding parts of a cracked tooth together, or covering a dental implant. This versatile solution is essential for maintaining oral health and improving tooth functionality.
Dental crowns are expertly crafted to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, restoring not only the shape, but also the color of your smile. With their lifelike appearance, you can enjoy the confidence that comes from knowing your smile looks beautiful and authentic.
Crowns provide a strong shield for damaged or weakened teeth, preventing further decay and minimizing the risk of fractures. By encasing the tooth, they help maintain its structure, allowing you to bite and chew with confidence, knowing your dental health is safeguarded.
Made from high-quality materials, dental crowns are designed to withstand daily wear and tear. With proper care, they can last many years, often a decade or more, making them a cost-effective solution for restoring your smile without frequent replacements. Enjoy peace of mind knowing your dental crown will stand the test of time!
These crowns are designed to match the natural color of your teeth, making them ideal for front teeth where aesthetics matter most.
Made from gold or other alloys, metal crowns are incredibly strong and can withstand chewing pressure, making them ideal for back teeth.
These are usually less expensive than other types but may wear down faster. They are often used for temporary solutions or in less visible areas.
Known for their durability and natural appearance, ceramic crowns are a popular choice for both front and back teeth.

Your journey begins with a thorough consultation with Drs. Elli and Yaakov Schulman. During this appointment, we'll assess your dental health, discuss your goals, and take necessary X-rays. We'll ensure you understand the benefits of crowns and address any questions you may have.
3
While your permanent crown is being crafted, we'll place a temporary crown to protect your prepared tooth. This temporary restoration will allow you to eat and speak comfortably until your final crown is ready.
2
We'll prepare your tooth for the crown. This involves gently reshaping the damaged tooth to make room for the crown. If the tooth is severely decayed, we may add a buildup to support the crown. We'll then take impressions of your tooth, which will be used to create a custom crown that perfectly fits your smile.
4
Once your custom crown is ready, you'll return for the final appointment. We'll remove the temporary crown and carefully place the permanent crown, ensuring a perfect fit and alignment. After making any necessary adjustments, we'll secure the crown in place with dental cement, giving you a robust and beautiful restoration.
Transforming your smile with a dental crown is a straightforward process that can be completed in just two visits. Here's what you can expect during your treatment.

I've been going to Dr Schulman for 20+ years for all my dental care. He is highly knowledgeable, stays current on latest trends and technology and does not try to upsell. How refreshing. He also has a first-rate team, from Shoshi at the front desk to Dana and Kelly on the dental hygiene side.
Another component equally important to skill is patient care. The team is friendly, are excellent with pre- and post-checkup communications. You never feel like just another number to them. Highly recommend Dr Schulman and his Club 32 practice.

General dentistry is essential for maintaining your overall health. Regular visits to a general dentist can help you avoid more severe issues down the line. Preventive care is a cornerstone of general dentistry, and it involves routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays to monitor your oral health and catch any potential problems early.
In addition to preventive care, general dentists offer a range of procedures and treatments to address common dental issues. Whether you need a filling, root canal, or teeth whitening, general dentistry provides solutions tailored to your needs.
Alternatives to a dental crown include fillings, inlays, and onlays, which can restore smaller areas of decay or damage. Veneers are another option for cosmetic improvements on front teeth. A dental implant might be recommended instead of a crown for severely damaged teeth.
At Club 32, our dental professionals can help you choose the best option.
To care for your dental crown, maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily and flossing daily. Avoid hard or sticky foods that could damage the crown. Regular dental check-ups are essential to monitor its condition. If you notice any discomfort or looseness, contact your dentist promptly to address any issues. Treat your crown as you would your natural teeth for the best results.
Yes! At Club 32, we prioritize aesthetics and use high-quality materials that closely match the color and appearance of your natural teeth, ensuring your crown blends seamlessly with your smile.
Dental crowns range from $500 to $3,000 per tooth. Porcelain or ceramic crowns cost $800-$3,000, metal crowns $600-$2,500, and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns $500-$1,500. Zirconia crowns range from $1,000-$2,500. Prices vary by material, dentist, and location. Dental insurance typically covers part of the cost, leaving patients to pay $300-$1,500 out of pocket.
Getting a dental crown is generally not painful. Our dentists use local anesthesia to numb the area so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. After the anesthesia wears off, you may experience mild discomfort or sensitivity for a few days, especially when biting or chewing. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help manage this discomfort.
Don't way any longer! Experience the benefits of high-quality dental crowns, including same-day options for your convenience. Drs. Elli and Yaakov Schulman are here to provide personalized care tailored to your needs!
